About Gulf Coast Residential Treatment

The residential component is the keystone of our intensive in-patient program, as it allows our clients to focus solely on their recovery program. Clients are able to take a hiatus from the frustrations that accompanied their lives when they were using;
they can leave the worries of the outside world behind. Environmental stressors, including friends, family, coworkers, and courts, can propagate the cycle of addiction by triggering a person to use. By taking the individual out of that environment, we break the cycle. By teaching clients to recognize these triggers, we help them to prevent relapse into old behaviors.

Since our clients are with us for 24 hours a day, we take special care to ensure the comfort, safety, and security of our facility. Our residential center is managed by a full-time staff of professionals who can readily respond to the needs of clients. Since recovery often begins with withdrawal, we also medically monitor clients during the first stages of recovery.

Our facility is conveniently located near a beach with dock and fishing access. We hold weekly barbeques and offer many extra services. The residential facility is divided into small homes to maximize privacy and comfort. Because our staff spends so much time with each residential client, we prefer to keep our in-house population low and may have a waiting list.
